Beach notes
Stretching along the beautiful Bay of Alcúdia, Playa de Muro is one of Mallorca’s finest sandy beaches in my opinion. Even in the high season crystal-clear water and plenty of room to stretch out. The shallow sea makes it particularly popular for families, while a beach restaurants provides all the comforts for a lazy day by the water. If you prefer something quieter like I do, head more towards Es Comú where sand dunes and pine trees replace the busy beachfront. It can get crowded in summer, but with nearly six kilometres of coastline, there’s usually somewhere to escape the buzz.
Worth knowing
Go outside peak lunch hours if you want the water to feel less like a queue.
